Reading the comments below made me nod in agreement to various ways one can pull off expression. I'm guilty of the facial kind myself, but I'm absolutely dependent on having at least another element for interaction, so that the main character isn't just randomly posing for the camera. It's not necessarily boring, though, depending on how it's executed. The interaction in your pieces never fails to captivate me, and in this style this aspect becomes more prominent (and perhaps more important) than ever. It's as if the elements become one, while creating a tensity or a story at the same time.
The Rain. The kind of city's tears The kind of nature bleeding, crying out What can you see? The dreams. The fears. What are your dreams about? This gray-stoned walls - your forest now Your home, your God, your newest Mother Gaya This trees electric have no shadows, so You cannot hide no more, my little liar. :3

Things are hectic - I am sorry, but this deserves more comments and I am glad you aren't moving this to scraps like you said you would.
Well, quick abstract scribble - it is brilliant all the same. Blocked... well, isn't that a familiar feeling. Yet, the reflection, mirror. Always there, in some way or another. Such is the way of bonded souls, no? You no longer see yourself. You see just them, everywhere you look.
Ah yes, forget that "Will be moved to scraps"-stuff. Hundreds of comments may be nice, but reading words like yours means a lot more to me. Quick and abstract. I understand that this style isn't everyone's taste - "it lacks soul", heh. But emotions and feelings aren't only expressed through toon faces à la Disney.

Anything for you, my friend - and it is the truth. Anything you do, no matter how abstract, quick - it's all more meaningful than the last. Inspirational, and none of your works are ever scraps. Believe me.
Oh, but I cannot talk there - I've been the same way. I've been lacking in much comments - I hope to make amends, and I am glad. Yes, so glad they mean more to you. Ah, people - a lot can't see depth when it stares them in the face. Lacks soul? Oh no - quite the opposite. Everything in this, it has its own soul, its own feeling. Which means so much, all you have to do is look.
Well, sometimes you get more expression that isn't something so elaborate and well, Disney - and something that is more "simple" - ragged lines to depict what really is. More realistic, less glorified cartoon, in a way? Oh, I babble.
Bonded souls through their source, and through their shards alike. In sadness, and in joy - you're always seeking them in some way. They're there, but not. Just out of reach, and trapped on the other side of the mirror, so to say?
