Ok So after I saw this (leopard seals are my favorite animals) I really wanted to get a tattoo of it! Could I get permission to do so? I would feel guilty getting it without asking DX

every picture you post that has a scary looking thing with an open mouth, I find myself making a hissing-like sound effect to go with it.
...i really hope i'm not the only one who does that... (-llll-)

Is "Ekkalasq" an ancient meaning for seal, or is it the name of a certain seal monster from a legend or something? Just curious.:) I love your art. It reminds me of old legends I used to hear about creatures that would eat you if you came to close to the arctic waterès edge. I believe they were called Qallupilluit?

I think this is one of your best leopard-seal works. The language is very intriguing - it seems to me like a cross between Old Norse and Inuktitut.

It's Leopard Seal tongue. Don't know exactly what it means, but it seems to be a short hymn of praise for Ekkalasq, an ancient Leopard Seal hero.

I keep listening to the voices. ;)

I imagined as much. I wondered if you were inspired by any actual languages. Mainly from the name Ekkalasq, which has something of a slight Inuktitut ring to it.
