I have to say; I love this piece. There's a certain macabre playfulness to it and I love the raw simplicity of the way you've drawn the skull and outlined the bones. I find the sense of movement you've created in this amazing, it seems so natural and yet so fantastical at the same time, it reminds me of flowing water and the shapes droplets can form. I also love the use of the feather, it simply finishes the piece off; it's like a reminder of what animals can leave behind even when their bodies are gone, it fits perfectly with the skeletal fox.
crazy creepy awesome love the quill in the tail, and the way the body arches. you know, when the tendons decompose in the sun, they shorten and pull the vertebrae into that arch, which is why all dinosaur skeletons have that same pose to them. for the longest time, paleontologists thought it was a mass poisoning by all the plants on the planet simultaneously releasing their alkaloids into the air, which causes convulsions like this; but then they looked at modern dessicated birds and realized it was just part of decomposition. endlecture lol
Yeah tell me about it! I mean, the animated show was always a bit dark but the movie was a whole new level of terrifying rabbits. I had a rabbit at the time, I looked at him differently for a few days.
